    Default Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana in Florida

    My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida

    I was recently stopped and given a PTA for possesion of Marijuana (5grams). My court date is at the end of this month. This is my first offense. I have a clean record. I would like to know what should I expect when I appear at court and what punishments might i receive.

    Read this. You are presumaby charged with a misdemeanor carrying a maximum penalty of up to one year in jail and/or up to a fine of $1,000. You should consult a local criminal defense lawyer about your chances of getting a deferral.
