I live in Michigan.
I have had my property since 1994, and upon buying it since it was landlocked,
a strip between the home in front of my home was given an easement. This was not necessary prior to my purchase since the two were father & son. However, it was duly recorded and is part of my contract as well as the new buyers of the home in front of me.
This has been a nightmare...first the new buyers refused to acknowledge the easement, and did everything possible to keep me from using it. They put cement blocks in the area that I have to use, planted trees, and refused to allow a tractor in to plow it and disperse gravel to make it passable. Their latest trick is to use their snowplow to pile up snow across the easement, and it's either get out and remove it or get stuck. In the past they have whined about everything from soup to nuts to the police ie, music too loud, too many visitors, screaming "slow the f*** down, when you can hardly go more than a few miles an hour. He has screamed obscenities, and made obscene gestures to family and friends as well as myself.
How can I get all this to stop? I am an elder lady with no one to turn to.
