Default Statute of Limitations in Texas

I am confused about Texas law concerning paternity fraud and child support. I am the supposed father of our 11 year old son but I now have reason to suspect that I am not the true biological father. I am contemplating divorce and don't want to be obligated to pay support if I am not the father. If I get a paternity test proving that I am not the father before filing for divorce then can I avoid paying child support or is it too late? I thought I heard that you have to test before the child is four years old. Is this correct?

You should consider consulting a divorce lawyer about your plan for a possible divorce, and discussing your paternity issues within the context of that consultation.
