My question involves grandparents rights in the State of: Indiana
my son just told me that he severing his ties with his family due to his wife
not "liking us", for some reason. They live with her parents 7 hours away. Our granddaughter is 2 months old. We have visited twice, once when she was born and once this Christmas. Both times we stayed at a hotel and were only allowed to visit for 1 hour. We brought many gifts and affection to our daughter in law, son and new grandbaby. The day after our last visit, we were unable to reach them by phone. Our sons cell number had been changed. The home phone was disconnected. Our daughter in law would not answer her cell at all. When she finally answered, he told us that we were ruining his marriage, that we had "under tones" when speaking to his wife. We never did anything of the such. He said that since he didn't know who to believe, he had to cut ties with us. We are not allowed to call or visit. This is crazy, we can't imagine what happened. Her father had done the same thing with his family, long ago. What rights do we have?
