Back Child Support

This question is for one of my Co-Workers...
His Child Support will be ending in June of next year.For the passed couple of years he has been adding on 100.00 per month due to back child support due to his former company laying him off.So he got a little behind.Anyway he has been paying 600.00 a month CS and an extra 100.00 on top of that for the back he owes.So my question is when he's CS ends in June will he be allowed to pay 100.00 per month for the back CS like he has been doing and drop the 600.00 or does he have to keep on paying the 600.00 as well?The back CS is only 2500.00.

That's up to the courts but in all likelyhood, he'll continue paying the $700 (600 + 100) until the arrears are paid off; that is as long as he is capable of paying that amount.

have a question regarding back child support owed to state, My husband has money for back child support that is owed to state(mother gets assistance) We want to see about paying off back child support and were wondering about laws and whether or not the state would take a settlement for the back amount owed. Your husband needs to contact the CSE agency about paying off the arrears. They will be able to tell him waht he needs to do.
