Question Recourse for a Defective Used Car in Pennsylvania

I left a $300 deposit on a 98 Cadillac Deville about 2 months ago at a buy here, pay here dealership . I asked the sales person that there were a few things needed to be done before I actually picked up car and paid for the rest of deposit required in order to drive away with it. He said before I get the rest of the deposit (in order to release vehicle) the job will be done.

    List:
    1) Inspection of car
    2) check out tires for they were loosing air
    3) check to see why leaking antifreeze and fix it (over heating)
    4) clean out engine for it had spider webs/debris
    5) check to see why there was a ding dong noise
    6) replace cover for the fuse box
    7) replace over head fixture/cap inside vehicle

Sales person called the owner and owner told him to let me know the vehicle had a reconstructed title. I said what was the cause of the reconstructed title? He said it was hit lightly on the drivers front side. I said was the frame touched/bent --- they said NO! I said ok how much $4500.00 with a $1,000 deposit and $758 financing charge will be included. I said ok I'll take it.

to make the story short, I paid the rest of deposit, picked up vehicle, nothing that was on the list was done. I've used the vehicles 5 days (if that) ever since, it's been in and out of mechanic. I've spent $2299.00 on it so far, left me stranded on road and to top it off I was told by the mechanics that the vehicle must of been in a bad accident because the frame was bent on it. The mechanic told me that the person that worked on the vehicle (for the damages) did a sloppy job, made the car look good in the outside (entire vehicle painted) but the interior of car (under hood) was horribly put together. So bad that the cooling fan was not plugged back on and the main cable to the driver side head light was loose in which caused damage to the main fuse of dashboard on vehicle. I have proof and statements from the Strauss Auto Parts in which they have been dealing and working on this car since I got it.

Why didn't you have the dealership complete the repairs instead of taking possession? Did you sign something when taking possession that indicates that the described repairs were made? Beyond your list, you purchased the car "as is"?

Thank you for your reply. I received a list of repairs made. I never signed or received any document stating that the car was purchased "as is"
