[QUOTE]My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas
I signed a bond for my girlfriend who was charged with felony forgery. Since then, I caught her with her old bf and she is moving from the apt we shared together to somewhere I don't know. I don't want to be responsible for the bond and was told that I can write a letter to the judge asking to be released from liability and when she appears at her next court date, if the judge accepts it, the bond will be lifted and she'll be put in jail. What I want to know is what to put in the letter to better guarantee that the judge will accept it. Any suggestions?
