Default Return Back to the U.S. After Completing a 10 Year Ban

Deported in March 2001 and had a ten year ban will be completed by 2011
Deported for overstaying, Misdemeanor probation 10 months (theft) and completed. Son (20 years old) and daugher (18) US citizens
Question: Will my son be able to file for a petition on my behalf so that I can return to US after completeting the ban period - would I face any objections from immigration in Dallas. How long does it take to get a petition approved. Thanks . ftalha@yahoo.com/faisal.talha@gmail.com

Once the ban is over you may apply for a visa. The length of time it takes to get a visa depends upon the type of visa involved. Your past history would likely cause additional delay.
