My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas

My wife and I had a fight, someone called the police, and she was pregnant.
the police threaten to take one of us to jail, she ends up saying i slapped and kicked her. she had no marks on her, I had a deep scratch on my chest with a little blood dripping. the police ignore me and get her statement, i get arrested around 08/2009 end up like 3 weeks in jail and appear in court, i foolishly pleaded "guilty" my wife never press charges.

Now i just got turned away from a job because i failed the background check,
lucky got part time job but am still seeking more.......

I need to know where to go from here, my wife and I are still together, we both have taken anger management together and i am currently doing Domestic Violence classes my wife refuses to take victim classes.

Because i pleaded guilty i need to know if i screwed myself and what can do, about my record.

also where online can i check whats on my record?

Honestly not much,you should of tired to get the charge dismissed or lowered. Maybe a lawyer could do something,it look like your stuck with the conviction. Texas does have a process to set aside a conviction,i'm not sure how likely this is,a lawyer should be able let you know your chances.
