My question involves an arrest warrant from the State of: California. My girlfriend (Not Me) has a Bench Warrant and she has been arrested and released to a program which she refuses to complete, thus new warrant and arrest likely. I have a 3 part question.
1. Since there are thousands of Bench Warrants to actively persue the costs would be enormous. I suspect they wait until the persue slips up and only follow up on tips since it's a Public Relations matter now and her charges are non violent. Is this correct? In other words if she doesn't trip up and no tips were given would she be arrested?
2. If Bench Warrants don't expire why is the exphasis on Murder Warrants never expiring why not say all warrants?
3. Appears a Warrant must be renewed by the State in which it was issued in order for it to remain active. When do Bench Warrants need to be renewed (how long) and what percentage are not renewed for minor non violent offenses?
I would like to give her some odds in continuing to ignore repaying her debt to society.
