Does Insurance Provide Legal Defense After Change of Insurance Company

My question involves insurance law for the state of:texas

I was involved in an accident 9 months ago and have since changed insurance companies.
I received notification today I was being sued for the accident and would like to know if my old insurance ( company I was with at time of accident ) will still represent me ?

any help would be greatly appreciated.
