I've been searching for my son who I never knew about for the last several months. He is an adult now. His mother refuses to help me find him. I'm 99% sure that I have found him via several search programs and other methods. He had been adopted at some point in his life too. I have a witness that states unequivically that I have found him based on her review of internet pictures and a MP3 audio recording of him. The only thing that doesn't add up is his birthday and age now. He has not responded at all to any of my emails to him yet. Not even a "get lost Buddie" response.
My first question is "can the birthday as well as the name of an adoptee be changed on his new birth certicate in the state of California"? His original BC was from the state of Colorado. His new birthday makes him 1 year and 9 months older than he should be. I can see where this might be an advantage to a mother and the adoptive parents that might be concerned about a "unknown" birthfather like me that would search for his son.
Also, I stopped trying to communicate with him about a month ago based on the advice from my mother. She thinks I could be arrested for stalking if he isn't reponding. Is this possible?
Thanks for any advice or information you can offer.
