Possession of Marijuana

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Junction City, Kansas

Last week me and some friends went out our lunch break at school Were all juniors in highschool, and We all had hit this blunt and as we turned the corner my friend had the blunt in his hand and the cop saw him and told him to get up against the car and then he said he was arressting all of because he saw all of us smoking it.. I know he didnt we were around the corner, they arressted all of on charges of Possession of Marijuana and it was about 5g left when my friend threw it, They didnt drug test in anyway and asked each of us what had happened, Were all minors and I'm 17 going to be 18 in March, its a first offence and I have no idea what can happen, any ideas?

They asked what happened and I said "We got caught with weed" and thats it, but No sir I was not I was about 300+ feet away from school grounds, but it happened during school hours which I got suspended for 1 day because of it.

I was charged with "Possession of Marijuana" and won't get the summoning papers until after Christmas.
