Default Advice for Dealing With CPS

My question involves child abuse or neglect in the State of: Washington/Louisiana

A little background: My husband was killed last year in a motorcycle acident. We have 2 kids together ages 3 and 1. After he died me and my brother in law had an arguement and he would call me names and threaten me in front of them so i told my mother in law she would have to come to my house to see the girls from now on. She went around telling everyone i said she could never see the girls again. Then she called CPS on me with false claims and i know it was her because a worker told me when they wernt supposed to and also other close sources to the family varified this. I delt with CPS for a year and did there safty plan and went to classes and everything even drug test and i recieved 3 letter saying all the finding were unfounded and then i finally asked them to close my case around the year mark and they did.

Now this is my problem as of now: I told my mother in law it was closed and i was moving back to Louisiana, not thinking she would do it again because i have been nothing but civil with her and not even a week later they are back at my door with more claimes that arnt true and are basically the same as the last ones.I told the lady i was moving home and if she wanted to continue a case to do it from Louisiana. She wanted to come back out but i came down with the swine flu and then a few weeks later she calls me *im still sick* nd asks me to come in to sign up for voluntary services again but i told her i do not want to get stuck in for another year. Then i get another call a day later and hse says if i dont sign the papers then they are going to have a shelter hearing but by that time i was already in Louisiana. Now my boyfriend who is at my house up in WA state says they came to the door with papers to serve me *not the cops just cps* and saying they were there to take my kids because i refused to sign for the services again.I just dont see how this is right considering they just investigated me and found nothing and closed my case.

My question is can i get in trouble for being down here when i left before i was told they wanted to take my kids?

Also would it be unlawful for me to give temp custody to my mom so i could go back up there and get things straight with CPS and continue my process of moving out of state?

Any answers would be great,i really need some right now, thanks for reading!

You really need to speak to a local attorney right away. If you had not been served with anything before your move, you probably did nothing wrong, however, you should make sure by getting a consult ASAP.
