    Default Secretly Tape Recording Meetings

I attend meetings in which I am aware are being tape recorded.
Would it be legal for anyone attending the meeting to secrectly tape the meeting for their own recorder?
Everyone in attendance are already aware they are being taped. The state is Pennsylvania.
The reason I ask is because there are always certain things that were said during the meeting that ironically do not appear in the written minutes and we are not given the opportunity to re-listen to the tape to proove things were left out.

Pennsylvania is an "all party consent" state for recording conversations, and recording without the required consent can be charged as a crime. See Pennsylvania Consolidated Statute, Title 18 - Crimes, § 5704(4). If you believe that your situation is an exception, you should consider confirming your belief with a local lawyer before recording others. It does not appear to fall under the statutorily enumerated exceptions.

    Aron,

I am aware of the statute, everyone in the meeting does know that it is being taped. My question is, if everyone is aware and consents to the meeting being taped is it legal for anyone at the meeting to tape to tape it themselves as well??
