Depending on your circumstances, you may qualify for financial aid through your county Community Services office. They can provide one-time assistance for things like rent, utilities, etc. IF they can be reasonably sure that you'll be able to get things back on track after the aid and that you have or are pursuing other sources of support (meaning you're employed or collecting unemployment, have pursued the father of the children for child support, etc.).
