    Default Probationary Term Violation

My question involves criminal law for the state of: California

I commited burglary(Felony) at age 17 Oct. 2008 and was charged with a probationary term of 1-3 years. As long as i kept everything in track for the first year, the probation terms would have been over. However, at age 18 of November 2009 i commited petty theft. I was jailed for 3 days and was given an infraction at the court hearing. At the court hearing, they said i did not have a probation. I even recall the attorney appointed to me said that it would not violate my probation terms. I was fined with the infraction a total of $250. I did not report this to my probation officer which i have a formal meeting every month or so. I have a court hearing in December which is about a month from now. Basically, it is progress check to the judge. I just hope to forget about this event. However, will the case be brought upon the judge? Will i be facing any problems if i kept this to myself? What should i do? I am ashamed as it is to do this again and havent reported this to my parents or anyone in regards.
I DO NOT WANT YOUR JUDGMENT. I WANT YOUR HELP.

I suggest consulting a lawyer - and not the one who supposedly told you that you didn't have to report new arrests or charges to your probation officer.
