Hello, im a 17 boy, and im not to sure what to do,my dad pasted away from cancer about 3 years ago, while he was in the hospital and a couple months after he passes i was stayin with a family, but hes Will was read and said i would be going to go live with my aunt, whicth didnt really work out. so after a year from that i moved out and with my mom who is the one who has custady of me, she has been a ancholic and goes to A.A meetings for prob since and before my fathure has passes. i could no longer living with a person who is as i quess you can call “crazy” as she is… she signed me out of school. and will not let me get a job because currently she is getting my social secuirty from my dad. so about 4 months ago i whent to stay with my freind in jersey. my mom lives in NY. anyway my mom said it was alright but while i was thier i found a job (off the table) and was living a great life even bought a car ha. but my mom called one day and said i needed to come back, and called the cops and said i was a runaway. but she said i could go…. she does this all the time. so i went back the next day all the way to ny. but once i got thier she was a mess and i could not handle it. so i asked my friend to pick me up and bring me back to nj. whicth did happen and when i got thier she would call one day and say u need to come back.. just so she could still recive the checks.. and then one day she would say ” no you a man and u can live your life” everyday it was ethier of those.. and the thing is she would buy me alcohol give me pills and has even giving me a pot plant.. for my birthday…. so then she finally stop calling about a month ago. but i would say about a week ago i went to visit that family that i frist lived when my father was sick, with who is currently lives in Chicago IL. and i went to go get my social security card i can get.but they also said that they would send my mom a letter saying that she has 15 days to respond to that pr she would not get the checks and they would come to here to my friends mother.. so a week goes by and she give me a call. which hasn’t been for a month and she says that i need to come home… and i know it just because she will not be getting the money any more if i stay here. so now she is trying to buy me a ticket or a bus ride all the way back….. but i guess my question is that is their anyway i could get emancipated, and how would i go and do that?? i knows this may seem very crazy and complicated? just need some help. o in the mean while shes been cashing those checks without me their. she basically survies on those checks. she has no income she has cirrhosis of the liver , any answer of what i can do to stay here with this family would be great..

    You turn 18 when?

I don't see how you would be considered for emancipation in any state, given your history of drug use, poor school record, and inability to support yourself.
