Default A Second Arrest for Petty Theft, PC 484/666, 1203.2

I am in my early 40's.
2004 April... I was arrested first time for petty theft at Safeway in California ($ 85 in 2 bottle of alcohol)
    No police or jail time…
    $270 civil demand 4 Safeway
    Court Charges: 484/488 petty theft
    3 year probation
5 days work Alternative program $150+$120
3 hr. AA meeting per 2 month.
2005 December... I'm caught walking out the door by an LP at COSTCO in California, who brings me back to the office,
(Shoplifting charges $ 250 in 2 bottle of alcohol)
My Costco membership is revoked for two years and the police is called.
I'm lead out by an officer in handcuffs and I spend 3 days in jail (charges PC 484/666, 1203.2)
I checked with my attorney, he told: that a second arrest for petty theft may be filed and punished
as a felony and carries a maximum of one year in either county jail or state prison & he will represent
me on the day I have to be appearing on the court.
He also told me that I must wait a little time to obtaining of letter from COSTCO & Court.
I also start AA meeting and Alcohol and Psychological Treatment in Counseling Center.
…….It’s April and I still haven't received anything from COSTCO or Court.
Does anyone know if its possible I will just never receive it ?

Your lawyer may be able to verify the status of any charges, pending or filed. It is possible that you won't be charged or receive a civil demand. Given that you were arrested after the second shoplifting charge, it seems unlikely that you won't be prosecuted. The civil demand? It's hard to guess.

    Default Thanks for responding!

Thanks for your time to answer these questions.
I regret what I did a lot and I am going to keep away from any trouble in the near future.
I really appreciate, thanks a lot.
