In November 08 I pleaded no contest to (1) misdemeanor and (1) felony possesion of a firearm. I was given 1 year of probation. In april 2009 I was convicted of a [dry] reckless driving and my probation was extended till May 2010 as is supposed to with felony probation cases. I turn 18 this coming friday and I was wondering if it is possible for me to apply for early release of probation? What steps do I take?

Some info about me:

-- Santa Clara County, California
-- There are no other convictions
-- Graduated from Leland High here in San Jose
-- Attending De Anza and have goals set to going to Cal Poly SLO for Civil engineering
-- Live with both parents and a brother, no problems at home.
-- I realize the consequences when I turn 18 will be a LOT harsher and I don't want to be in that position again.

I don't do drugs, and I don't drink, the only problem I have with my probation is the curfew. 10PM on the weekdays and 11pm on the weekends. I feel now that I'm (soon to be) 18 and I goto college, I feel like I have very childish curfews and have suffered long enough. I've definitely learned my lessons and would like to get this all behind me.

So will it be possible to file?
