Hello to whoever is reading this and is willing to give me any advice so here's the story.
Basically we have 5 five people living in our apt, and 4 of us are deciding to move out since our lease end already and one of the guy may stay the question is how wouldn't he have to renew his lease meaning us 4 would get our deposit from the landlord back and the guy who stays would have to put up his own deposit for the new lease. But when i talked to the landlord he said that this getting the deposit money back is a issue between ourselves which we have to settle with our roomate since the landlord said he can't give us each of our deposit back, and if we leave we'll have to have our roomate pay us even if he stays. So the thing is does the landlord have to give us our money back when we leave since our lease ended and if the other roomate wish to stay he'll have to pay a new deposit. please any advice.
