My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Texas
At this time we are not divorced. I want to file the papers as soon as possible. My wife and I have been seperated since 1997. In that time we have shared the custody and support for the two children no age 14 and 13. My wife has moved to Kansas to start life with her new friend. She has a child by someone she knew in the years we have been seperated and now by the new man. Our two children, the two mentioned above have chosen to live with me and stay in Texas. My question is when drawing up the papers for the decree, we want to say joint custody and no child support from either party. If the kids decided to move to Kansas (which I dont' see happening), I would continue helping support them. While they are in Texas their mother helps also. Will a court grant a decree with that type of wording?
