    Default J1 Holder Married to a U.S. Citizen

    I am a j1 holder.my ds-2009 ends in may 2010.i am currently married to a us citizen.i want to file the i-30 and i-485.but before that i want to ask these question and any help will be gladly appreciated.

    1. How do i know if i am subject to the 2 year rule or not.(it is not stated in my passport like the other j1 holders)

    2.how long am i supposed to wait after marriage before i file the
    i-30 and i-485

    3.if i file and it is denied what should be my next step

    4.if my visa expires before and there is still no reponse to my application am i supposed to return to my home country?

    it should state on your actual visa. Mine says on the bottom" not a subject to 2 year rule....."
