An Assault Charge That I Did Not Do

hey bro, my names tony. And i just got a ticket for assault and battery, and the person was trying to say i pushed him and in reality i did not make any physical contact at all whats sop ever. he reported an assault on me when i have witnesses saying that i didnt not ush him wat so ever. and the cop still gave me a ticket? like what are the chances of getting my charges dropped cuz im a full time student at de anza and im also working part time. im a responsible person but someone tryin to blame me for something that i did do. any suggestions? like the guy is trying to say that i just pushed him thats it.

If you wish to defend yourself against the charge, I suggest hiring a lawyer. The police found a sufficient basis to recommend charges, and a prosecutor found sufficient cause to authorize charges; simply arguing "My witnesses say I didn't touch him" isn't at all likely to get the charge dismissed.
