    Unhappy Fired for Missing Shifts Without Covering Them

    My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: im from iowa i worked with a compnay for over 3 years my boss would harss me all the time and say things like its not about the war its about the battles u can win if u aint happy with how i do things then quit cause the econmey is so bad that there someone to replace u, i was 2 weeks later going into work to bring out 12 pack of pop to put in the fridge before my next day of work, boss told me that i was to call the office before i returned back to work i called and they said leting me go over missing sundays, now let me explain when we work it is are respoabilitys to to find someone to work are shift if we want a day off and not a problem as long as it dont put them into overtime, everone always did that for years , one of kids went to college and asked if he could work sundays if someone would be willing to give it up and they said yes, so one day he asked me if he could work my sunday for me so he could make some money as agred and has before then i was told i missed to much work but yet its ok for the bosses son to find someone to work for him every payday and he still works there his daughter takes sunday and tuesdays off to go on a fmaily outing but i have to be there and cant now here is were it gets screwey. SUppervisor approved it and signed they paper saying it was ok for that to happen , i feel like im being discimated against i contacted a attorney hes filing a class action law suit on behalf of employees on toally other issues and i feel like i got rail roaded from the company and they got away with the boss allowing his immediate family to do it and then fireing me cause i did it and yet he signed a paper saying it was approved what can i do and is there anyone that can help me fix the wrongs here

    How about writing so the responders can understand the situation and the question? Things like proper capitalization of sentences and punctuation and paragraphs would help immensely. We're not texting here.

    You can be fired for excessive absenteeism, even if your shifts are covered. But as PattyPA says, we can't even figure out from what you posted if you covered the shifts you missed.
