My question involves a roommate in the State of: GA
Hi all,
So my roommate is having issues with myself and my family. I am a single father but sometimes both my 1 year old son and mom come over. The mom is polite to everyone cleans up behind herself and otherwise doesnt bother anyone. My son is 1 and thats it. Well recently my roommate has been upset about my son being over because he is teething and sometimes cries at night. She has also said that the mother tries to run everything in the apartment but on the rare occasion that she is over she is either cooking and noone else is using the kitchen or in the bedroom with myself and my son.
Now I am hearing around our job that she wants to take me to civil court and have it ordered that I pay all the rest of my portion of each monthly rent up front at one time to the leasing office so 4000 dollars paid at once to the leasing office. I had an emergency with my son and had to be late on the rent. I agreed to pay the entire late fee associated with it and it is one day late.
Can this actually happen?
Also is there a way to have it enforced that she pay for the portion of the apartment that she uses? i.e. she is the only one using the garage and does not allow myself or the other roommate to put even a box in there.
