Not Going to Qualify for Second Extension - What Can I Do

My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: CA

I was laid off on 2/2/09. I filed for UI the following week; During this time I've had a couple days of contract work. I used up all of my initial claim in September (I can't get to the paperwork right now) I was approved for the first extension and in that time I worked a couple more days; but based off of my current benefits, and amount remaining, I will run out in at the end of Jan 2010.

Based off of the EDD site, I will not qualify for the second extension because I did not exhaust my first extension by 12/26/09. I looked at the "FED-ED" aka third extension that says I must use up my second extension before I can get it. since I did not qualify for the second, can I stillget the "FED-ED" extension?



Now with this new bill being passed, how does that work? (I was unable to locate ANY information on how the extra 20 weeks (here in CA) will be applied.)

You have told us that you don't qualify for unemployment, so there's not much we can do but express sympathy.
