Question Buying Alcohol for Someone Else While On Probation

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan
I have recently been put on probation. I purchased alcohol for a person who has been driving me around as a repayment for the favor, this person is of legal drinking age, but they swiped my id for verification. will this affect me in a bad way what should I do, if anything

Why does somebody who is of legal drinking age need your ID to buy alcohol?

You don't mention what you are on probation for, but I'll make an a** of out me and umption and guess that the lack of driving + this thread = DUI or Wet Reckless. I don't know the specifics of your probation, but if any of the restrictions are to avoid places with available intoxicants then yes you could be at risk of getting in trouble with your PO - that is, assuming you get caught.

I am not going to advise you on how not to get caught - if you are not supposed to be near booze, or people who drink booze, or whatever else hoop they want you to jump through, it's probably for a good reason.

Lest you be concerned that I am judging you from an overly high horse, I'm on probation now for an alcohol-related reckless driving charge. It's pretty miserable, this whole thing - no amount of intoxicant is worth the risk of killing yourself, someone else (even worse!) or any of the other rightfully harsh consequences.

Final thought - I assume further that this person who has been driving you around knows why you can't drive, and furthermore would like to see you remain out of trouble. Don't go buying anymore beer for him. It's not worth the potential risk. Wasn't the beer that got you to the point of probation expensive enough already??
