This is in the state of Florida.
My ex-fiance is in jail and has his hearing today (I believe for sentencing ?). He was arrested in the middle of September for possession of drug paraphrenalia, possession of meth, and resisting arrest w/o violence. He was released from prison in July and was on probation, however the VOPs didn't go through until after he was bailed out of jail. A week later he got arrested for Aggravated Fleeing to Elude, driving w/o a license, driving while license suspended, and resisiting officer arrest w/o violence. This time he had 5 VOPs, and when he went to arraignment a couple weeks ago 4 VOPs came up for the first arrest. So total he has 9 VOPs, plus the new charges.
I am no longer in contact with him but I still care about him and am wondering what kind of sentence he could be given. He was sentenced back in 1994 as a Habitual Violent Offender, and was in prison from then until this past July. I know that will give him more time, depending on the judge.
Does anybody on here know the sentencing guidelines on VOPs and also Agg Fleeing to Elude and possession of drugs & drug paraphrenalia here in Florida? OR, does anybody know a way that I can find out what kind of sentence he gets? He has his hearing today and I'm pretty sure it's sentencing, but on the county jail site it won't tell me how long he's sentenced to prison for.....and I don't believe his public defender can give me that information. Is there a website I can find it on?
Thank you for any advice!! I appreciate it!
