    Default News Articles for Nonprofit Organization

    Are nonprofit organizations in Illinois allowed to use news articles from any source on their own website? Are there restrictions? If not, what, besides the reference on the source, is required to post news articles from different news agencies?

    A non-profit has no exemption from copyright law or anything else, except for taxes.

    Being a nonprofit doesn't exempt you from copyright laws. If you want to use somebody else's copyrighted work, absent the applicability of the narrow 'fair use' exception, get permission or license its use.
