    Default Residence Trespassing Dilemma

My question involves criminal law for the province of: Ontario, Canada

I'm not sure if anyone can shine some light on the subject seeing as it's Canada, but here's what happened in brief.

I live at university residence. Me and two friends went downstairs last night to smoke bud. We got caught by these security guards and my friend who was holding it was written up. They asked me for my ID and I wouldn't give it to them (I wasn't aware that by contract I had to) so a special constable came. I was told to leave the campus and could not return or I would be charged with trespassing.

I have a room here and have no practical way of eating, bathing, or fulfilling any basic needs without being at residence. I am going to talk to the department of housing tomorrow about the issue but they are not open today.

Am I just in being at residence?
