Default Harassment from Employer After Patient Threat

I am desperately in need of advice. On Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, a patient came in and threatened me thru the staff.. To do bodily harm to me, going to get me, watch for me and is going to F*** me up, etc... you need to hear it. The owner/mgr was there and I had warned her before the patient had come in that she had already threatened another employee when she was trying to schedule her medical appt. The owner did nothing, many facets here... but, I did call the Police on Monday night and reported it. They wanted me to call them on Tues am and have an officer come over to take a report. I called them, and he came over and took a witness ( a Front Desk employee ) statement and mine and was irritated that the Mgr never called them and never informed me of the very serious threats. He went across the street and spoke to her at the Admin Bldg. She called me after he left and she gave me all kinds of BS and asked me to put in my resignation. I told her that she failed to notify me, let the patient in, never called the Police and then I told her, "I don't think that's going to happen " ( in re to putting in my resignation. She then said I should really consider it. Then, she warned me, that if ANYONE spoke to her again about this, she would fire them. I have been a faithful employee for 4 yrs. I am worried about further harassment. They are already breaking so many laws. Where can I turn? Please help me, I don't know what to do... Do I need to approach her again with actual questions? In front of witnesses? The owner/manager has a very bad rep and I am very worried about further harassment. Thank you for reading this. In Michigan

What laws, precisely, are they breaking?

In what fashion is your employer harassing you?

There is no law requiring her to call you to tell you that someone is trying to stir up trouble. Absent a restraining order, she is not required to refuse to allow a patient access to the building.

She is clearly uninterested in allowing whatever your dispute with this person is to disrupt the office.
