Default Becoming a Citizen After Separation

    Hello
I came to the US in 1993 as a nanny.
Met a guy and married him. I was not working for the duration of our marriage, but when he left me 2005, I began working.
I had a valid US drivers license and SS#, so I have been paying my taxes.
My license has now expired and because he never filed the papers that he told me he did, I am unsure of my status here. We are still legally married.
I want to take my citizenship and I have not left the country since 2000, is this a long enough stay to be grandfathered in?
I have been reading other threads and it seems that working without a green card is an issue, but I have never once been asked to produce it.
My license and SS card have been acceptable.
    Thanks for the advice

You received your Green Card when? Conditions were removed when?
