My son's father decided to step into his life at 5 and stepped out at age 9. Its been a year and a half since he heard from his dad now, and he tells me that he has a hole in his heart. I can be there to try to fill it as best I can, but I will never forgive his dad for what he did. All this child wants to do is love his father, and I can't say a bad word against his dad for fear a judge will frown down on me. I am waiting for the day that his father will have to stand before a judge and explain his actions. Until then, we just move forward. Too bad, this is one great kid and his dad is missing everything.
