My question involves a roommate in the State of: Hawaii

1) Can my roommate close my bedroom door as she pleases? I leave my bedroom door open, as I have the masterbedroom with a bathroom. I have a litterbox for my cat in the bathroom. Closing my bedroom door, effectively cuts off access for my cat to his litterbox. She closes my bedroom door during the day, as she claims the 'dust' and 'fumes' from my bedroom is causing her health problems. Yet, incredibly, she leaves the door open in the evening. (I guess 'dust' and 'fumes' don't move in the evening.) Does the act of closing my bedroom door when I am not at home constitute trespassing?

She spoke to my landlord about it and even took one of them into my room to show her the messiness (without my permission, this past Fri.).

2) She also took in her cat to the vet this past Friday, which required hospitilization due to respiratory problems, which she said the vet told her was caused by dust, mold and grime. She then put the bill on my bathroom mirror and expects me to reimburse her by the end of the month ($600). Does she have any legal leg to stand on - especially if the cat had a preexisting respiratory condition?

I have since cleaned my room and windows. But she is still closing my door when I'm not in, leading me to believe that this is a control-issue and not a health issue.

I am not the kind of person that likes confrontations and have been feeling very uncomfortable. However, at the same time I am very angry and frustrated about her and the situation. Our landlord sympathizes with me, but doesn't want to get involved. (Not that they should, as this is between me and her.)

At this point, I would rather hide behind the law, versus losing my cool and doing/saying something that she could use against me. HELP!
