My question involves criminal law for the state of: GA
I was driving down hwy.16 in GA I was coming down a hill I got hit by radar going 63 (according to my GPS and speedometer). The GSP trooper turn around at the local feed store after passing me (I was below the 55 MPH speed limit before passing him). The trooper speeded up and got behind me and turned on his lights. I pulled over at the next driveway and rolled down my window. The trooper ask me for my drivers license and I told him I did not have it on me (I left my wallet at the house) he asked me my name and I said (Christopher Paul Burns) he asked how old are you I said (26) he asked what’s your D.O.B and I'm 90% sure i said 07/29/1983. but the trooper asked me 86? and I said no 83. He then said get out of the car I'm tired of you f**king with me. I was then handcuffed and after giving him my drivers license number and my social security number (I have them both memorized) he said I was going to jail for giving him false information (GIVING FALSE NAME, ADDRESS OR BIRTHDATE TO OFFICER GEORGIA CODE 16-10-25). I also got two ticket one for (DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE ON PERSON GEORGIA CODE 40-5-29) and one for (SPEEDING IN EXCESS OF MAXIMUM LIMIT GEORGIA CODE 40-6-181)
16-10-25.
A person who gives a false name, address, or date of birth to a law enforcement officer in the lawful discharge of his official duties with the intent of misleading the officer as to his identity or birthdate is guilty of a misdemeanor.
"with the intent of misleading the officer"
I gave him my full legal name, my age, DL#, and my SS#. And because he said I said 86' and not 83' I get arrested for giving false information?
Where was the intent to mislead?
