Default Rights on Paid Anministrive Leave and Dismissel

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Georgia

I was placed on paid administrive leave a few days ago. I was not given a reason why and when I asked I was told that they didn't have to tell me why or anything else about the situation. I was also told not to bring up the situation to anyone inside or outside of the organization. I was also told not to contact anyone about the matter ( this was the only thing in writting). I was also instructed that if I talked to my staff not to inform them I was on leave. This was all out of my office. After being informed of a possible investigation I called one office staff and instructed them to lock my door, as my office contains secure documents. I didn't say anything about the investigation.
The next day I was contacted via phone and terminated from my position. The told me that they had phone records and that me requesting my door be locked was comprimising to any investigation that " may or may not have been going on". I was then told that there was "probably no issue anyway but now I will never know." When I asked for an explaination of the leave and termination they told me again they didn't have to give me one. The whole thing was very suspicious as they never put anything in writting about my termination and wouldn't even have a face to face contact with me. I had only been with the organization for 7 weeks. 1 of which was in training and 1 of which I was out due to the birth of a child, which the organization told me," take as much time off as you need." I had been told by other staff that my supervisors actions toward me were very unusual and when I would ask important questions about issues with staff the supervisor would ignore the e-mails or fail to ever instruct me about the situation. Note that I am a extreme minority with in the company and my supervisor is or a different race and sex than I am and that all other persons in my position within the company are of different sex and a large percentage of them being of different race as well.

My question here is can they put me on administrative leave without giving any explaination?

Can they terminate me after they led me to verbally believe I could talk to an employee on a personal and not professional level?

Is there a good chance that I was openly discriminated against because of my race, sex and the fact that I took of time due to my wifes pregnancy?

( i appologise in advace as I didn't spell check this and typed it in a rush.

    1. Yes.

    2. Yes.

    3. There is a chance. A good chance, we would have no idea. However, since your race and gender didn't change from the time your were hired, and I assume they knew that you wanted to take time off for the birth of your child, why would they have hired you if they were going to turn around and illegally discriminate against you because of those things? (BTW, only the first two are protected characteristics; the third is not). There has to be more than "I am a this" to prove the case that you have received disparate treatment because you are a "this".
