My question involves a traffic accident in the State of: Illinois. I was hit by a driver who had lasped insurance. I, on the other hand, have insurance. I wasn't cited for going the wrong way and she was'nt cited for not having insurance. The cop told me he didn't feel like doing any paper work(writing tickets) and to battle it out amongst ourselves and insurance companies. However, he did give us police reports but on it, its stating she was covered.
She hit my car and I have to pay a deductible. I was the only one in my car when the accident occurred. She had two other passengers in the car when she hit me, but we were the only two injured and rushed to ER. I'm suffering from back and leg pain. I'm unsure of her exact injuries.
Her boyfriend arrived on the scene before I was taken away in the ambulance and told me the driver had to hit my car in order to prevent from hitting a pedestrian. There was no pedestrian. Now he's claiming he was driving and that he and his son were badly injured. Lies, Lies, Lies! I do have a witness. My lawyer and insurance company says I should do nothing until they attempt to sue me personally. What do I do about the lies? Whats going to happen to me now? Can I be sued? Can I sue her?
