Default Under Contract but My Room is Being Rented

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Massachusetts.

Hello, just to give you some background I am under a 6-month lease which ends Nov 1st/Oct 31st. I paid for First & Last month's rent when signing. It is a 2-bedroom apartment and my girlfriend and I were sharing one of the bedrooms. The other tenant in the other bedroom is the landlord's daughter. In August, my girlfriend and I broke up and I decided to move out since she couldn't and preferred if I did. She agreed to pay for the rent/utilities for the remainder of the contract, although this was not discussed with the landlord. On September 14th, my ex girlfriend moved out prematurely but on the 1st of September she had paid rent (that covers for all of september). The only thing that she or "we" owed when she moved out is the remainder of her share of the utilities (electric, cable). October was already paid for when I paid for Last month's rent. Even though we aren't on the premises we are still under contract technically. While living here, we had a 3rd tenant who was "temporarily" living on our couch and paying $25/month towards rent which helped us out. When my ex-girlfriend moved out pre-maturely he decided to move into our room and pay for the cost of living there. I was under the impression that whatever he was going to contribute towards october for rent was going to help ME out (as a pro-rated refund of some sort). My ex-girlfriend owed about $150 towards utilities and we agreed that my extra month's rent could go towards paying that. Not ALL of it. Now the other tenant is refusing to give any money at all to me and on top of it, my room that I'm leasing and paid for until oct 31st is occupied by somebody else who is paying full rent for it. There is something wrong with this situation but I have absolutely no legal background or knowledge and I don't know what I can do. Basically, the lease is under my name and my ex gf's name and has not ended yet and somebody else is living in our room (even though we don't want to live there anymore) and is paying rent to the tenant so that the tenant can have some financial support (i.e. take advantage of me).
    Please help asap. thanks.

Default Re: Under Contract but My Room is Being Rented

Also, I recently spoke with a tenant who is threatening to destroy/throw out my belongings that I left in my room if I don't get rid of it this weekend (which i'm working all weekend) and telling me I need to change my address. This is not the landlord saying this, these threats are from the tenant. My lease states that it ends November 1st, 2009. I am under the impression she does not have the right/authority to do any of this. But I would not be surprised if she went far enough to actually destroy my things. This situation is so complicated, if somebody could offer some help I could maybe try to clear things up.
