You really need to retain counsel to negotiate terms of surrender on your behalf. While it is unlikely anyone will come to your door, you may find yourself in a heap of trouble should you find yourself pulled over for a traffic violation, involved in an auto accident, or otherwise in need of police services.I now have a warrant out for leaving the state - is it a felony warrant or misdemenaor? My PO said it was a technicality - the original charge was a felony for a bad check.
I also found out I have a warrant for not paying a judgement - Is it a civil warrant? Do I have to appear in court for it or can I just pay it?
What are the chances of them coming to my house to arrest me in my new state?
Some states also will refuse to issue/renew your drivers license if you have a warrant outstanding.
