My question involves employment and labor law for the state of: California
Instead of a check in hand Friday evening, the owners had a meeting with the 10 of us and told us that they didn't have the $$ to pay us on payday (Fri 10/09/09). They still want me to come in and work next week, I guess trusting that they will pay us. They stated hopefully by Wed or Thursday.
They have already bounced a payroll check in May and have admitted to cash flow problems...but never mentioned that they may not have payroll for the 10 of us.
I want to know what my rights are regarding unpaid salary wages...
