My question involves an eviction in the state of: Illinois
My grandmother bought a mobile home for my uncle 6 years ago and she put in writing that he needed to pay her back and they both signed the agreement. The title is in his name. Several months after she bought it, he fled with his wife, and left the mobile home stranded. She lost her other mobile home and had to move in to the one she had bought him, he never payed her anything back for the purchase and per their written agreement. She was ill the last 4 years and my mother and I moved in with her permanently. She left in a will that she wanted us to have the mobile home. My mom has currently been living there since she died. Today my uncle, 5 years later, with the title came to my mother and gave her a notice saying he was going to sell the mobile home and she has 30 days to vacate the premises after the sell. Does he have the legal right to sell this mobile home even though in writing he said he would pay it and never did? Also, the owners of the mobile home park remember her buying it, and they were aware of the written agreement and told my mom that he has no right to the home.
Thank you.
