My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Maryland
I know Maryland is a at will state where they can pretty much fire you just because they don't like you as long as it don't fall under discrimation laws. Monday 10/05/2009 I was told that I was supspended When I had ask for what I was told that I was wriiten up by another employee and also that I told another fellow dispatcher to send our morning ambulance crew to grab a clipboard from a facility thatt they was late on picking up calls. I heard from another employee who no longer works here that i was fired before i even talk to them . They punished me before even hearing my side the story. We do not have a handbook or policies in place what i do have from my direct supervisor is his rules which staes that we get a verbal warning first the wriiten warning then suspension I never was verbal warned and wriiten i was immedately supspended. I was not at fault at all they refused to question any other employees IE my witness. ever since then i been having bad migranes and depress. cAN i REQUEST THEM TO SHOW ME THE " WRITE UP" and get paid for time lost being I wasnt in the wrong at all![]()
