Default Will Lying in a State Affidavit Be Grounds for Denial of U.S. Citizenship

I had lied in an affidavit concerning paternity in a Hawaii state court. I was married but had been separated for two years when I became pregnant by another man. In order to disestablish paternity with my husband I gave a affidavit to the state court stating that I only had sex with who I though was the presumed father and no one else. The Hawaii state court found that my husband at the time was not the father.
Late on I divorced my husband at the time I was pregnant and then married the man who was the presumed father.
Afterward, my present husband questioned the parenthood of the child that was presumed to be his. I confessed that I had, in fact, had sexual intercourse with another man beside my current husband during the conception period.
I filed a complaint for establishment of paternity with the family court of Hawaii naming both presumed fathers.
Since I had previously filed an affidavit attesting that I only had sexual intercourse with one person and it was adjudged to be true, did I commit perjury since, in fact, there has been a subsequent filing by me contradicting my initial affidavit when I stated I only had sexual intercourse with men other than the one I named in the affidavit and will it affect my pending US citizenship application negatively if it is found out by the US authorities?

I doubt you're going to end up being charged with perjury, but I have to say that's a chance you take when you lie under oath.

Yes I understand that I probably will not be charged with perjury but even if I don't get charged with perjury and the INS finds out that it happened during a review of all court records (state and otherwise) will this prevent me from obtaining my citizenship. I have my verbal interview in a couple of days.

It is really hard to say whether this would come up or not. But since your interview is ina few days, what can you do about it now? Just relax and do the interview and if the topic comes up, be prepared to give an explanation and make sure you express your remorse for lying.
