I had lied in an affidavit concerning paternity in a Hawaii state court. I was married but had been separated for two years when I became pregnant by another man. In order to disestablish paternity with my husband I gave a affidavit to the state court stating that I only had sex with who I though was the presumed father and no one else. The Hawaii state court found that my husband at the time was not the father.
Late on I divorced my husband at the time I was pregnant and then married the man who was the presumed father.
Afterward, my present husband questioned the parenthood of the child that was presumed to be his. I confessed that I had, in fact, had sexual intercourse with another man beside my current husband during the conception period.
I filed a complaint for establishment of paternity with the family court of Hawaii naming both presumed fathers.
Since I had previously filed an affidavit attesting that I only had sexual intercourse with one person and it was adjudged to be true, did I commit perjury since, in fact, there has been a subsequent filing by me contradicting my initial affidavit when I stated I only had sexual intercourse with men other than the one I named in the affidavit and will it affect my pending US citizenship application negatively if it is found out by the US authorities?
