    Default True or False Advice

my niece is 81/2 months pregnant. her boyfriend is in the USA illegally. he was recently convicted on a drug charge, a felony. he is presently incarcerated in an Arizona prison. upon his release he will be deported back to Mexico. his family has requested my niece marry him to keep him from being deported. the family insist this is the only way he could stay in
the USA. my niece has asked me if this information is true. i don't think it would be quite so easy as his family has suggested, but i am not completely sure. I have tried to find out the facts pertaining to her situation with no luck. She is having a hard time. his family is pressuring her to act quickly. I hope someone can help. I am asking her to really think about this. I am very concerned for her and the baby she will be having very very soon.

    His family is wrong.

Felony drug charges are aggravated felonies. Not only is he going to be deported, he cannot ever come back - aggravated felonies carry a LIFETIME ban from re-entry into the US.

Even if you're married to a citizen.

Marrying him will not keep him here. Marrying him will only leave her married to someone living in another country.

If his family is harassing her with this request or there is concern that there will be issues should she not comply, she needs to seek additional assistance.

False that gentlemen is done with USA. The only chance he had to fight his case in the court of law and prove him self innocent. Now he is convicted and he was illegal to begin with so no hope for him.
