    Default Restriction on Our Records

My sister's and I were restricted from a gas station for good. We can never come back and if we do- we’ll be arrested. The officer listened to our story and immediately put restrictions on our records. Now It’s preventing me from getting a job. I’ve haven’t been able to obtain a job since a restriction was put on my record. We haven’t done anything wrong. I've read about my rights and the kind of restriction that is on our record doesn't even apply to us. We could only be restricted if we steal, or sexually harass the workers; in which we have not done. All we wanted cash exchange. There was a sign on the door saying 18 and under, must come with a guardian. I'm 21, my sister's are 19, 16 and 15 and I qualified as a guardian for the younger two. She ignored our ages and referred to me as a child even though I told her I was 21 and a guardian for them.

She said come in one at a time. I said why? we just want change, were not here to make trouble. She threw our money on the floor and even mentioned our color, that because she was white and we were black, we didn’t belong there. Her co-worker and some customers there even joined in and said we didn't belong there aswell. We defended ourselves by freedom of speech. She judged us based on a robbery, in which a black man was arrested for stealing and ever since then she has been racially profiling black customers. I've been going to this gas station since I was 9 years old and I have never seen anything like this. Many of my friends who are black, have been restricted from there also. Were trying to write to our newspaper service so this can be heard. This is not right. I've spoken to cultural officer and she was no help. How can I ignore this if I can’t help what color I am in the world? We deserved to be treated as human beings with rights, otherwise the pledge of allegiance is false. Theres no liberty and justice if nothing is being done about this issue. I've spoken to the court house office and they said they can't give me any info. Please help me I've tried talking to so many people. What should we do about this? Can they be sued for breaking our rights?

Default Re: Restriction on Our Records

I doubt that there is anything relating to this on any type of police record, above and beyond the incident report the officer took. If there is a state that has some form of record "just becuase a store asks for it", you didn't help us out by failing to follow the instruction to identify your state.
