    Question Resume Fraud

My question involves employment and labor law for the state of: PA

Can an employer sue a former employee if (after termination) the employer finds out that the employee lied about one of their college degrees? Employee had earned a degree, just not all that is listed on the resume.

The position that the employee was hired for did not require a college degree, nor was there any kind of "job description" associated with this position.

The employee has been in the same line of work and same industry for their entire work history and was hired based upon qualifications, not education.

Resume fraud seems to be more prevalent now days and I question what the law states?

I cannot see an action unless the business services were affected by the lie.
