Ah. So you can make claims of liability, but if you say "IMO" then you don't need to actually reference any body of law to back your claims. Nifty.

You don't think it has ever occurred to somebody to try to make a claim against a government for snow issues resulting from plowing? If governments aren't appealing cases where people are complaining of snow plows leaving snow on their property, it's because in those presumably rare circumstances when homeowners try to bring such a tort claim the government's not losing.

You said IMO too, did you not, now you, again, challenge me to quote a case, yet you won't either?? Nifty!!

YOU have said IMO a # of times of this site, with over 30,000 posts. Am I correct? Did you ever back one up when challenged?

Given that the question is whether or not the city is liable, I can see how it would be helpful to the poster to present case law or some other legal authority supporting liability. If nobody can find any authority, that's unfortunate but sometimes inevitable, and the OP can carry the opinions presented in this forum to a lawyer for an analysis based upon the laws of his state. But repeating your opinions, even with increased fervor, without providing the missing authority doesn't do anything to answer the original question or advance the discussion. And bickering is counterproductive.

I have found the beginnings of support for my position. I do not have access to all of the sites needed to research this easily so it may take longer to discover if the cases I am researching are in fact supportive of my position. At first glance, they do appear to be so hold on, unless somebody is willing to provide the counter point in cases and shoot mine down before I spend a lot of time on it.
