Hi. I am in NH. I filed for a naturalization through marriage at the Manchester office in June 09.

After I passed an interview, I got a traffic violation ticket and it was just before an oath ceremony. So I marked "yes" on question #4, which asks "have you been...cited...for...violating any law...including traffic violations?" on a notice to appear for a Naturalization Oath Ceremony. When I appeared for an Oath Ceremony on Sep 24th, a USCIS officer saw my answer on the notice so she told me I couldn't take an oath. She also took the notice and told me to wait for a letter in the mail. A few days later I received an I-797C, Notice of Action, stating that I failed to appear for the ceremony, which is incorrect, and that I will be notified of a new date.

Yesterday I just received a second notice to appear for an oath ceremony on Oct 16th, 2 weeks from now.

I will have to answer "yes" again on the second notice and I am pretty sure I won't be able to take an oath again because of my answer.

My question is how I can be naturalized if I am not allowed to take an oath. I have tried to search for an email or phone number for a customer service at any USCIS and all I got is to contact 1-(800) 375-5283 and there is no option to speak to anyone.

What should I do? Should I answer "no" this time?

Thank you so much.
