My question involves paternity law for the State of: Georgia and Florida
We just found out my husband has a child from a previous relationship. We have had a DNA test to confirm. I know we need to establish paternity, but not sure where.
The child was born in Florida and we are residents of Florida. However, the child currently resides in Georgia.
Also, the mother was married to another man and had that man's name listed as the father on the BC. When they divorced, they had it in the divorce decree that he is not the biological father and not responsible for the child. What kind of problems is that going to cause with his name being on the birth certificate?
